amp for headphones

It wasn't a reply to you personally just my two cents regarding the utter madness that has ensued in this thread. The guy just came here asking if he could get a nice amp for his expensive headset and you guys derailed it. Sure enough he could buy a fiio e10k a schiit Fulla 2 or a schiit stack or an o2 amp or even an internal sound card and all of these options would be more than just fine for him... "we" are not helping him

he asks whats good for his specific needs i told him what i think is good and why in little bit detail, others done same details more or less, how is that not helping.

i think there is less chance that he will buy expensive valve effects box china makers on ebay like to call "hifi" headphone amplifier after reading this-saving him money and time.

Thank you very much,to all of you
I prefer to buy things in amazon and not on ebay or chinabuy
Because i want it to be original and good
And i still dont know what to buy.... I really confused 😕
Should i buy amp like fiio e10k or dot mk2 or just sound card like creative soundblaster zx or xonar types...
I really confused.
People get me.more into the amp but i have headphone with green line and pink to the mic, that mean i need to buy extension cable to the mic?
I also good with soundcard if it will do the job but that what im here for,to.know what is the best for me

that soundcards with headphone output have built in headphone amplifier, sometimes even better than regular amplifier only implementation that needs separate line level input(from dac).

you dont need complication with separate amplifiers and dacs and extension cable for questionable gains.

you just need to pick one of soundcards that you feel is best to you and be done with it for 50-80$ and not be afraid that you missed on something without separate amplifier.

Like I said before.
For the easiest solution. Get fiio e10k. Plug your headset/headphones into the E10k. Take your mic. Put that into the back of the motherboard. It's not hard or confusing. Just do that. Then go into your audio settings and setup the E10k to be your default device and your mic to be your default recording device. You will then be done.

As i know my table and the case and all my setup , it will be to short. Do extension cable will do the job and work for the mic if the original cables too short to go into the amp and also into the back panel?
It will work with the mic cable?:)

he has mic on headphones embeded in same cable so easiest solution without aditional cabling is one of sound cards that have mic input on them.

to op, make a list of few cards available/interesting to you and then we can help you decide on one exact.

ASUS Xonar Essence STX II
Asus strix soar
Asus strix raid pro
Creative soundblaster zx
Creative soundblaster omni 5.1 usb
Or the amp's...
Fiio e10k
Little dot mk1/2 and go on..:)

If you can afford it and you want a soundcard, the obvious choice is the STX II.

And if i cant what abou the others?

Why would you post it if you can't afford it? As far as soundcards go, I usually say get the most expensive ASUS one you can afford.

I'd still rather have an amp/dac, so I'd go for the FiiO E10K or something similarly specced/priced

STX II every time from that lineup. I personally have a Xonar Phoebus, can't fault the quality on the high end ASUS cards.

There is option to connect this sound card the headphones and the speakers together?
Or i need to connect the speakers to the build in motherboard?

obvious choice by simply looking at electronics involved would be any one that can drive 600ohm loads thus giving op option of later headphone upgrade. that is stx2,raid pro and omni. i would pick omni just becouse its external but its ugly looking one if that bothers you.

If i'll buy the stx 2 that mean i have to buy convertor 6.5 from 3.5 yes?

of all convertors that one is that is good quality in 99% of cases and cheap so no problem there, you should get one with your card i think. only problem is that i cant find microphone input on stx 2 other than 6.3mm line input so actualy you dont have what you need with that card and will need to connect your mic to where you connect it now,or buy separate powered mic preamp and conect that to line input of stx card.

The card has a Microphone Input port. Connect your microphone to this port by using
the bundled 6.3mm to 3.5mm adapter.
