Tom no offence but your score doesnt add up, have you disabled post processing in 3dmark 06 settings?

I don't see how that score is possible at those clocks, no gpu overclock?

if its right then I dont think anyone will have an answer. your second score looks far more realistic.

I asked this and Tom stated it was at default settings. The SM3 score does look a little high thou

Anyway heres mine, puts me in the lead I believe. :p

3d06 must be run at default settings meaning load it up and click run. I f I disable post processing I can get 24k, im not saying tom has or knowingly has as I know Tom and its not His style but sm3 score will be high with post processing disabled.;) or it was a bugged run maybe?

btw Nice Video Tom!!:D

Back to the drawing board LOL

Busta has a big list of score to always just put him in front..... he's just saving them :p

aye windows 7 can get you a few more points if you tweak it. Also try (you've probs already done this as benching pr0's) slipstreaming XP right down the bare minimum.

I gained like 1000 3dmarks from killing off all my unnesscessary processes, antivirus etc etc

Very nice score Busta.

Unless winter comes very quick i cant see me beating you. My cpu is idling at 45-48c where as yours and Toms is at 32-36c. I need to find a aircon system asap ;)

I have 26 processes running i think. I am unable to use the amd oc tool in diagnostics mode.

Some good scores there, has no one spoke to their local butcher to set up their test rig in his huge fridge?

Still air cooled just different environment :) look forward to the first pic :p

one word....condensation.:) the problem with that is if you try that and it works great, but if you kill a component due to condensation you would be out of the competition, where does that leave you?

nice line of thinking though.

My cpu actualy started to get picky once it got colder, thats when I was getting OC problems. Maybe it needs to be ALOT colder to get the big boost.

Ill try and get out to do some other benches tonight once my hang over has worn off :p

To be honest the price that TKWR is worth. Jump on a plane to south pole set up and genny and your on a winner.

alternately if you at collage go to science lab and get it mounted in a vacuum setup and remove all air ..

btw ... here is one i did a few years ago but if your after extreme air. you deltas are nothing companied to a pump that blow's up bouncy castle's ;) ....

Just the noise it makes is a bit deafening ....

Well better late than never. Will start with 06, as I'm struggling with this kit.

There's about around 100 points deviation in to that score, both ways, but it won't bench stable any higher now. It's really starting to test my patients, as It's not budged since the 1st day I installed the 4870 no matter how many settings I fiddle with. Anyone got a magic +1000 points button?

The rap sheet:

Back to BSODs and artefacts now...

sheesh, getting way more bsods and lockups than completed runs now lol

since it's the last week, i've been concentrating on 3dmark06

got these 2 runs last night/this morning, still not quite enough to take 1st, but getting closer...

3937MHz - 22544 points

3955MHz - 22622 points

(dunno what happened to the cpu-z window, but the proper cpu speed is shown in 3dm06 and coretemp)

thanks jabski :)

tis a bit of a shame about the gpu clocks tho...

the highest i can bench reliably is 810/915 :(

i've even tried software voltage adjustments, but anything above that will lockup in 3dmark06
