Grats you five :D And AMD you rock, picking oc3d :D

*returns to ACAD to work like a maniac on that bench table he had been working on for a while*

Hurry up please, I want to get that cut ASAP now :)

Have got to ring up DHL to reschedule delivery for tomorrow though now :(

*Orders a set of deltas with nice sturdy fan grills, and a couple of triebwerks(?) for good measure*

Good luck guys hope you beat my E5200 ... ROTFLMAO ..

But seriously best wishes and hope there is some real Close competition here.

As promised, here's a few screens at stock speeds

AutoGK DVD to XviD conversion

If anyone has any tests or benchmarks in particular that they'd like to see, please let me know and I'll do my best to run them. :)

Jumping to 3.4GHz with a simple multiplier change and a little increase of vcore:

Thanks Jim :)

Same process again, just raising vcore and multiplier for 3.6GHz:

That's right, AMD CPU's tend to perform worse in SuperPi although it is a poor representative of the CPU's overall performance.

Keep going pyr0, it should have a little more in it. Also once you've found that max CPU frequency, knock that CPU frequency right down and crank up the northbridge frequencies. Sheer core frequency won't win the prize! :D

this is rather interesting ive had to re read though a couple time but this all reminds me of of hammering the xp chip and the early duel chips. they were hard to get the right balance of FSB and multiplier and pure Mhz increase...

never once blew a bord but was happy just hitting a 20% to 30% increase stable.

Good luck guys once again any way ... be watching to see the full out come of all of it.

thanks m8, and coincidentally, that is exactly what i am doing, lol

i just started playing with NB and HT speeds earlier this afternoon before collapsing in bed

i'm still just learning the new system, but it's been fun so far

i'll have some more screens soon, but at the moment i'm kinda recovering from staying up a few nights

i haven't done this kind of thing for ages and it's been a while since any new hardware has interested me enough to keep me up all night lol

some great information there thanks pyro. I shall add some results hopefully over the next few days

cheers bud, looking forward to seeing what you can get out of it :)

[Edit]

A few screenies at 3.8

3.8GHz

Super PI 1M & 32M

3DMark 01, 03, 05, 06 & Vantage

PCMark 05

POV-Ray 3.7 Beta

Single Core

Multithreaded

WinRAR 3.9 beta4

Everest CacheMem

CineBench10

AutoGK DVD to XviD conversion.

No updates on anyone elses progress? Pyr0, you seem to be doing alright with it to say your not used to AMD and learning it as you go :) keep up the good work

Just what I was about to say. Ham, BustaH, themcman, Jabski come out of hiding and share some goodness with us.

I'm guessing they're beavering away trying to best pyr0's current top scores? Come on, share the wealth! :D

Great set of results so far there. The kit is obviously running some nice figures.

I was expecting a flood of standard stock-ish screenies from every1 to lull the others into a false sense of security :p

The main baby ofc is 3djoke06 for this comp.
