WELL WELL!!

Socket 1207 is getting readied for launch in April/May. The socket will have pinout for Quadcore (so no mobo upgrade for the latest CPUs- Intel, take note) AND... AND...DDR3 memory!!!!

Looks like these are more for the server side at the mo.

AMD Socket M will ship Engineering samples to the usual names in February if all goes according to plan.

whoa that's quick. And there I was about to go 939 in April/May. Dunno if i should now. Maybe i should just to save a few $$$$.

like any new socket and first generation mobo's it will have bad performance and lots of bugs wait for second generation mobo's like i am going to, socket 939 is at its peak and there has never been a better time to buy into the market mate
