AMD Fury X Radiator Orientation

So i'm thinking (quite seriously) about getting the Fury X when it comes out, assuming it performs well in the benchmarks/reviews of course.

My question though is where i can mount the Radiator? In the user guide i saw it says "The radiator assembly must be mounted above the graphics card". Now the only place i'd be able to mount it is on the back which i COULD do, but seeing as i have 2 open 120mm slots on the bottom of my case (i'll add a photo) where the air is nice and cool i'd much prefer to mount it down there. So i guess what i'm asking is whether it will Actually make a difference if i do mount it at the base?

EDIT: i should add, one of the reasons im wondering if i can mount it on the base is if at some point, well into the future, i decide to add a second card i wouldn't have any space for the second radiator unless it can go on the base.

Yeah, it may need a bit of a clean :o
I might just have to end up putting it on the back...

I'm really lucky, I only have to clean inside mine every month or so :)
As for the rad, you could place it in the front but looks like you would need to remove the bottom HDD bay? But I think the rear exhaust is your best bet.

Don't buy the Fury cards, dude. Total nonsense from AMD. The TDP on those cards alone gives me pause. AMD is dying on all fronts. If Zen isn't good I give them 10 years to live before they fizzle out like a bad fart. Get an Nvidia 9 series card.

I would wait until you see proper consistent reviews of the Fury cards against the 980 and 980Ti before either buying or slating the cards, as at the moment we don't have anything solid to go on.

Living up to your name there. Kudos.

Obvious troll is obvious

How is my honest opinion a troll?

They're forcing a water block/pump/rad solution on you where a HSF would suffice. Do you know how much higher the chance of failure is because of this? Pumps can jam. Tubing and fittings and rads can leak. Hell no, AMD.

Pay the slight premium for the better-designed and implemented Nvidia product. JM2C.

An air cooled solution couldn't achieve the same noise levels under equivalent load. If the pump is good it will probably be a more refined solution than nVidia's offerings.

I think the popularity of AIO CPU coolers currently is a strong enough sign that the majority of users are perfectly comfortable with running closed loops.

Sigh....
Why is it that any time someone mentions an AMD card someone degenerates the discussion it into a AMD/Nvidia war?

Edit: I should add that I did say in my original post that I'd wait for the benchmarks/reviews.

Dude, if you arent trolling, here is a response.

1. They are also offering an air colled option called Fury(without x)
2. Its believed now that this water colled fury x doesnt go higher that 60degrees - which would give you a huge overclocking room
3. Closed loop cpu coolers have almost become mainstream globally. people have embraced this type of cooling and everyone understands the risks and all. It is actually considered premium.
4. Amd sdoesnt have the budget of Nvidia or Intel. Its actually a big deal that they are even managing to compete reasonably.
5. If not for the presense of Amd, Nvidia would have charged 1000 euros for the gtx 980 and 1600 euros for the 980 ti
6. Better designed Nvidia product?? If i compare the Fury x cooler to the titan x cooler, the one that should win is the one that stays cooler and quiter. You'll find out soon enough which one that is.
