Hi Guys,

Im after a bit of advice on a CPU upgrade was set on Bulldozer but since the reviews have been meh, was thinking of either a 1090t or 980be (currently have 925), pc is for gaming, photoshop work etc. will be OC'ing too, its going into a Crosshair V formula (thanks overclockers uk picked it up for £134 as 'B stock' box had been opened and driver disc was missing but that was all, works a dream)

Any help or advice greatly apreciated.

Cheers

I'll probably get slated for this, but I'd probably choose a 8150 out of your question of selection.

I'd like to see some Windows 8 tests to rule it out. It's meant to behave 'differently'.

Thanks for the advice guys im ordering tomorrow so just wanted some more opinions i can pick up the 1090t for about £130 which is a bit of a steal may go down that route if Bulldozer gets sorted next year may look at it agin then and could always buy one later, but would hate to spend £200 now and be dissapointed with the 8150.

photoshop work etc.

The 1090t will perform as well as the BD in most cases, except for the multi-threaded tasks.

So, if by that statement above you mean you use photoshop for your job then I'd go BD because it will render faster.

Otherwise save the money by getting a 1090t and spend it on graphics for gaming
