alphacool eiswolf

hi TTL
really enjoyed your define c build with the alphacool setup, it has made me decide to rebuild my setup with water cooling, but having looked at the alphacool site I'm slightly stumped on what wolf to buy.
I run a gtx 1070 fe and noticed that they now do wolfs specifically for the 1070, would u still go with the gpx pro you used on your build or would you suggest a different wolf.

will be grabbing an eisbaur as well for cpu but was thinking of using a reservoir as well, wont be changing case so setup will be going in my cooler master haf

cheers in advance guys for any advice.

I have that build now and would highly recommend the GPX Pro 1070/80 the temps are fantastic.

I too have a watercooling setup with the Eisbaer 360 and Eiswolf GPX Pro cooling my i7 5930K and GTX 1080 FE. Although I'm not getting the best temps out of the Eiswolf like some of the reviews I've seen, I'm still quite happy with it for being a cheap solution yet still very high quality product. I still have a spare 240mm radiator though I might add to the loop later on.

For me it was really just an experiment to find out how little I could get away with spending on this loop, and I would say that I didn't spend over 270£ in total (excluding thermal paste, water etc). I did change out the original tubing with some clear 11/8mm I bought from Aquatuning and added a bay reservoir I had, since it helps a lot with bleeding out the air and refills. Those combined pumps and reservoirs on AIO's are never easy to bleed.

Cheers for quick replays guys, thxs for link TTL, liking that build Wrath.

Tolagarf interesting you said it was good for price does that mean you would use something else if you went up a price bracket or.

I'm going for a new intel build with an i7 7700 and one of the rog boards just haven't decided yet.

Been waiting for ryzen(great review By the way) but surprisingly the Intel is cheaper over here so that's made my mind up really on which way to go for this build.

Many apologies Guv I only got home today so only had my phone to reply with, thanks Juandon it has been epic building the rig and the benefits of using the loop is night and day when it comes to temps I'm just getting around to dialing in my overclocks now. I'm currently running my GTX1070 at 2150Mhz on the core and 4225Mhz on the vram with the temps remaining below 40c after 2 hours of valley and multiple runs with Firestrike as it goes at the moment I have a comfortable 20c threshold before any throttling from the pascal pain :) .

You can follow my build as she progresses >here<

cheers Wraith, yea really need to get my temps down hitting 80s when playing, going to be using my cooler master haf case so loads of room for a fridge maybe ;D

Yes I would. I don't know why I keep building these expandable AIO systems, I guess I for some reason like to tinker with them. But next time I will be going for a full custom loop with a D5 pump.

kk so maybe a EK P360 along with EK FC1070gtx, thinking a bigger rad would be better

Yes. If you are going to go water cooling I would use a 360 rad. Otherwise what's the point? you can get 240 AIO cheaply enough.

I started out with a 360 EK and then added a 120 too. The 120 rad cost me £5 second hand.
