Adding More Radiators

I'm having a bit of an issue keeping my GTX 1080 below 60C at load in games and Valley benchmark with my combined Alphacool Eisbaer 360 and Eiswolf, so I want to add another 240mm radiator which I have in spare, but I'm really unsure if this would even lower the GPU temps at all? my fan RPM at load are around 1000'ish RPM.

It's odd because the first Eiswolf I had (had a bad pump, got refunded), which was a standalone version with the 120mm radiator attached to it, maxed out at 52C in Valley with a fan RPM of 600. I can't really decide if there's something wrong with the second Eiswolf, or this is a result of the combined loop with the Eisbaer adding to the temperatures in overall, even though a 360mm radiator should be enough. But I digress, I'm not really an expert in this area :)

I've been testing my setup in Valley with 100% fan speed and 100% dual pump speed. Pump speed seems not to matter between 50-100%, there is no difference in temps. 100% fan speed (2000 RPM) lowers the GPU temps to 51. Any thoughts on this, or am I wasting my time trying to fix this loop?

The only thought I have is that you may have trapped air in your loop matey ;). I had to really move my rig about to get all the air bubbles out.

Edit: Darnit! I take that back. Seems there's a lot of air trapped in the radiator. Next time I'm using dishwater soap and I don't care if the Universe implodes because of this! :D

Something sure doesn't sound right. I get max temps of 54c on my 120 AIO cooled Titan X, with far more going on at the core.

Yeah I just had Valley running for a while and shook the case around a bit on the floor, and the temps starting jumping between 51-58C. It's probably an air pocket in the radiator that's been deadlocked.

When I first built this rig (Riff Tamson) the pump wasn't doing much. So I just picked up the front end from underneath (of the rig) and gently tipped it back, then forward and so on. I guess there was an air pocket in the pump or something. Once it was "burped" though it's been perfect ever since.
 
Guess I might try buying an used EKWB waterblock for the GTX 1080 FE, I see them really cheap sometimes. Could be interesting to find out if there's a difference.

Anyway I'm going to install a 240mm radiator in the bottom of my case this weekend, also bought 3 of the last Corsair ML fans I needed. Gone are the days of the Noctua iPPC (fantastic performance, yet the motor noise is getting to me).

IIRC there is a difference between a full block and one of those "chip only, rest is cooled by alu" blocks. Not sure whether it would be a huge one mind, but I am sure I remember them being reviewed (just the acool blocks, as they were just blocks at the beginning) and whilst they were cheaper than a full cover block they weren't as good.

And yeah, once a card isn't top end any more the blocks go for a song.
