Hi there Guys,

My 460 is starting to show its age a bit now and im thinking of getting another card. Santas already getting me an SSD

and with the kids christmas lists growing by the day, my options are limited to something like a 560ti. Though I have seen on Aria a 460 for £97 should I get this and SLI until the next series of cards come out or get a 560ti. I was thinking as a stop gap surely two 460's would destroy a 560ti and it would be cheaper for now. I currently game at 1920x1080 and dont really want to drop my resoloution. I could buy a better card next year.

Any thoughts comments or suggestions will as ever be gratefully received

Cheers Marc

Well my 2 460s do pretty well with games at 1920*1200 I could run bf3 at ultra settings just with AA down and minimum fps i would get is 30

i don't think a 560ti would be that much of an improvement

560ti aint a big jump from a 460 while 2 460s puts you up around the 570/580 range of performance dude.

i hoping to get me a 2nd 460 early next year as i too have the same issue :/

tbh this 460 is holding up better than i expected as its giving 30/40 fps on bf3 @1080 on high

if you CAN sli.....go that way......i can personally attest to 460 sli being one of the SMOOTHEST gaming experiences ive had...

you will NOT regret this decision......2xgtx 460 sli > 1 gtx 580

good luck

I'd say SLI the 460. I had one and loved it, but retired it for Dual 560ti Hawk's and love them even more.

I agree entirely, i have two Gigabyte gtx 460 super overclock editions @980/1900/2050MHz and they eat up bf3 at ultra on 1980x1080.
