Advice needed on overclockable MB

Hi all, I am looking at upgrading from socket 462 MD and considering a decent overclockable budget MD on socket 939. Also does the chipset matter. Sorry the last time I messed around with these things were 3 years ago. thanks.

Good choice moving to s939!

The best mobo chipsets right now on the 939 platform are nF3, nF4, and RX200 (and the other Radeon Xpress chippy, can't remember the number).

If you're looking to stay within a pretty tight budget my suggestion for best overclocking mobo would be the DFI LanParty Ultra-D. If you're looking to eventually upgrade to an SLI setup I also highly recommend the EPoX 9NPA+ SLI.

i vouch for the ultra-d, and it can also be modded to an sli-d quite easily aswell for sli goodness.

are you looking at pci-e motherboard or agp?

agp: dfi lanparty ultra-D nf3

pci-e dfi lanparty ultra-D nf4

pretty obvious ehh, you could even look at the MSI neo2 for agp and the MSI neo4 for pci-e great boards as well

PCI-E is the future to be honest. All of the newer graphics cards are PCI-E whereas the older ones are AGP
