Adding another 980ti

Hey all,

With the 1080 coming soon I'm considering getting a 2nd 980ti.

Would my existing water cooling be enough to cool another card as well as what I have already and maybe adding a small OC.

WC specs: x-res 140 d5 pump res combo, 1x 240 rad 1x360 rad cooling i7 4790k @ Stock and a Egva 980ti classy @ stock.

Thanks in advance

Yeah it will copy, you may notice some temps changes but nothing horrific.

Awesome, Cheers Tom.

I was worried it wouldn't cope so I'd be stuck with one card :(

I think the highest I've seen the CPU is 60° @4.4ghz and gpu 45° @stock whilst playing crysis 3 with the fans spinning at 600rpm.

What you say roughly is a safe max temp for Cpu and gpu under load?

600rpm and temps are 60 and 45 CPU/GPU respectively?

That is actually impressive. Curiousity has me now. What fans are you using?

Dont hold me to that :p il do another test over the weekend and play crysis for a few hours at stock with fans at 600rpm.

I'm using corsair SP120 quite editions. 5 in total obviously 2 on the 240 rad and 3 on the 360.

I'm dedicating sometime to do some benchmarks and maybe overclocking over the next few days.

Will have a better idea then.

well I have a 480 and 360 all with vardar fans at around 800rpm and with a 4.4ghz cpu, OC 980Ti sli and in Witcher 3 it peaks at 50C and 40C. (running the game at 1440p ultra) This is with a bad air flow (curses to my 900D) and warm room. So your temps arent bad.
