Activision vs EA

Activision is suing EA for $400 million because according to Activision; EA is the reason why Jason West and Vince Zampella left and also had them sabotage Treyarch therefore they need $400 million in compensation.

Seriously Activision? Black Ops has made $1 billion, and you still need to sue EA for an extra $400 million? WTF!

In my opinion Activision = EVIL, they make so much money from CoD, WoW (Yes Activision does technically own WoW), and all those other franchises and they still need want more money

To be honest, if those people actually did sabotage it and they have proof/evidence that they may have done it FOR EA, then they have every right to sue them. Wouldn't you do the same if the game you released could of made more money if they hadn't done it? Or the damage they may have done to the name? I remember reading a lot about Treyarch and it wasn't good at all. They say there is no such thing as bad press, but it was still bad in my opinion.

In my opinion they are both evil and destroy gaming... Back in the day there were loads of companies and developers that made different games now it is Acti vs EA

Fair enough they're in business to make money i understand that, but they're just getting petty now. Activision know CoD is going to get it's arse kicked by battlefield 3 and hope to soil the EA brand. People quit their job and your recent games suck, get over it for christs sake. Put more effort into developing CoD and maybe people won't jump ship.

EA has more franchises then Activision, that are successful anyway. Don't drag WoW into this, Activision have no say in the development of that game, nor any other of Blizzards franchises. This happens all the time, I don't see why it's such a big deal. It sounds to me like a lot of you are just EA fanboys, just throwing that out there.

errrrr, not to sound blunt, but if these guys are EA Fanboys, does that make you a COD fanboy, you seem to jump in everywhere defending COD,If you are not, maybe you should think before you jump in defending ActiBlizz all the time.Neither of these companies have much to be proud of these last few years, they are both guilty of snapping up small devs and IP's and running them into the ground,The main difference is that EA are not as showy as Acti whilst doing it.That is what is causing the growing anger at Mr. Kotick and his sycophants.

I have no doubt that this legal battle will last years and that the conclusion may very well be hushed up,but I would say that if they could end it before the launch of BF3/MW3 it would certainly make for some enjoying watching over the big xmas spending spree.

How am I a CoD fanboy and how am I defending Activision in my statements? If you read them correctly, which isn't hard, it clearly states that I hate the CoD series since CoD4, and I have said Black ops was a good step back to CoD4s direction. My statements have been about why I don't understand why people are comparing the two games when they are different styles of FPS. When you constantly bash down on one side, I'd consider that being a fanboy. Not defending one, and also saying the other isn't as good is definitely not being a fanboy.

If you're going to knitpick at every little thing you may aswell do it to all companies and not just the two. Take Microsoft and Bungie for example. Microsoft were a bunch of dicks to Bungie, does that mean we should bash Microsoft every time they do something? Or should we stoop to the level that these BF vs CoD arguements have come down to and just say we won't even buy/use Windows because it's made by Microsoft?

ease up guys were all friends here

Most the guys here are saying both companies are at fault threw the last years for producing a lot of turd out of their turd making factories.

But people are saying BF3 will out sell and slow down the sales and online play of COD:MW3. not compairing the games side by side simply only saying BF3 will hurt COD:MW3 Sales a lot and that i believe they will.

So many companies are suing each other now days

they should spend more money on developing their games for computers instead.

EA did seem to go down the money making road but seem to hit a steady place where its not pushing for more ways to get cash for their games they even have been releasing a lot of free to play games lately. Activision on the other hand has been on a money making path ever since COD4 tring to make more money from every little thing not long now before we will have to buy our ammo in COD.

I honestly think Battlefield won't hurt CoDs sales at all. A lot of Xbox and PS3 players buy FPS games to go online, and BF3 is a piece of trash for consoles online, where CoD is still providing the exact same features as PC. It'll definitely blow CoD out of the water on PC, but it will not come close to beating CoD on consoles, where we know most the money is anyway.

Also, most people will buy both anyway, because like I have stated before, they're different MP aspects. The only sales I think it'll hurt are for children having to make the decision between the 2, and most kids are associated with CoD, not BF. I know very few teenagers that play the BF games. The clan TOG, which you may know considering you're from AUS, were originally a BF clan, and they've always stayed with BF. You rarely see their tags in CoD, because like I said before, BF has a more mature aspect to it.

Not saying kids won't play it or prefer it, just majority will ask for the game they've played a lot of, and enjoy.
