Ok, having setup my raid0 at last, I have my "old" 200gb in an external enclosure running sata into my pc as a backup. I go to copy my files across from my "Sam" folder in "E:\Documents and Settings" to copy music, downloads and work etc. over and I get the message:

E:\Documents and settings\Sam is not accessible.

Access is denied

[OK]

So, whats going on?

Thanks

you need to set the NTFS permissions and ownership to your UserID or User Group

Properties >> Security >> Advanced >> Pwnership

Change Ownership and set the tick box at the bottom to replace the child object permissions :D

Pwn ur files so the F/s will allow u access (u need to be an administrator)

Similar situations to this, like putting an old boot drive with a busted windows on it as a slave, won`t let u access it even as an admin.

Hope it works out in this case.

Ahh thanks man, had to log in as admin in safe mode and its all done now...reppers are in order :)

why thanks you .. just for future reference you can log-in as Admin on startup @ the welcome screen/ login screen (u may have to log out for auto log-in systems) by pressing the Ctrl-Atl-Del key combination twice in succession
