HD 5570
Paid £60 for this :L This was when I genuinely had no idea what I was doing, infact because the system memory was DDR2 I even thought that the graphics card would have to be DDR2 also. I had just bought a £40 Dell Optiplex thing on ebay as a starter PC, hence the low profile card.
I actually ended up frying the thing :L

My brother kindly donated a M-ATX and as I now needed a new card I was able to get a real card

I picked up a lovely HD 5770 from a forum my brother went on, £50 - Bargain.
I loved this card, one of the best I have ever owned for the price/performance.

The performance of the 5770 was good but it just didn't cut it for all the new games, BF3 etc. So I had a look on here and picked up a 5850, I can't actually remember who from or what the cost was but I'm pretty sure it was a good deal.
I absolutely loved this card, it was phenomenal. Miles better performance than the 5770, almost silent, and never went above 65c. I got a good few months use out of this but then I decided I needed an upgrade.

For the upgrade I picked up an XFX 5870 from another forum member and put it in crossfire with the 5850.
Performance was great and the 5870 was pretty cool and quiet.

I needed some money for stuff and ended up selling both of the cards. About a month later I had a bit of money spare again and used it to buy a 6870. It was a Poweroclor PCS+ model like the 5850, and like the 5850 was great.
I used this card for a pretty long time and I was actually thinking of buying another for crossfire, until I won the competition.

I was very lucky and ended up winning the Custom Corsair Competition, with this rig came the Asus GTX 670 DCUII
I was blown away by the performance compared tot he 6870, withe the 6870 I struggled to get playable fps on BF3 on high, now I can play on Ultra at 100+ fps. Not only if performance amazing but it is dead silent and I have never seen it go above 70c.
