A little help....

So I was running an nVidia 680 SLI LT (xfx) with the q6600; I wanted to upgrade my video card from the 8600 gt 512 to the 9800 gt 1 gig; I took note that I would need a motherboard supporting PCIe 2.0 and ordered the 750 SLI (also xfx). Receieved all my parts yesterday and spent most of the evening assembling everything. Went to run the system and everything started inside, but I had no video output. I did have two 9800's running in SLI and connected the additional power to the cards. This morning I tried running one card, no luck; tried changing to my older 8600, no luck; made sure the hard drive was securely connected, still no luck. I don't think power's an issue, running an Ultra 600w X-Finity. Thoughts? Comments?

Any beeps? POST LCDs?

Do the new cards work in the old motherboard? (PCI-E is backward compatible)

When you swapped to the second port I think that you need to edit a setting in the bios to tell i to look to pci-e_2. Not 1

PCIe 2.0 Cards are backwards compatible with standard PCIe cards?

I did take the SLI out and try and run a single card....

you tried taking out some ram and trying it with the single card?

I haven't taken out the RAM but I did run single cards....one 9800....then replaced it with the old 8600
