hi oc3d forum
i am building a new atx PC and need some thought of what i am considering so far i am building ATX for the first time i have so far just built Matx but now i want to sli my gtx 760 so i need the space between Pcie slots to i can get sufficant air in i think

what i have so far is
intel i5 4670k
msi z87 g45
corsair vengeance pro 8 or 16gb
RM750w
corasir h100 or noctua aircooling
fractal arc midi hey i am swedish need to support them :D
sp120s for the case
and a nice black and red theme to top it of with all the black and red on the ram and mobo
i also want a nice gaming screen, i am torn between ips and 144hz, dont know if i will appricate the benefits of 144hz as a casual gamer, the options are VG248QE and AOC Q2963PM(2560x1080) i like the resolution of this but......

any thought would be appriciated

kind regards björn

nice bits of kit you have there, if you want the best for air flow you will want AF's for most of the case and SP's for the rads.

what 760 do you have?

do you have pref on mobo manufacturers as if you want red is say get ASUS ROG boards or the MSI gaming Mobos to give you red accents and heat sinks.

What reasons are you looking at for going 144Hz over say a higher res 2k display for the same cash?

i hvae the asus gtx 760 direct cu mini that i took out from my matx build hence the mini :D

i have absolutly no reasonening behind the 144hz except i looked at the vg248qe and thought it looked great and my son likes 3D so i thought he might like to play the batman games in 3d

Hi

I think the MSI Z87 Gaming G65 is a great looking and awesome value for the money. I really want to build a system around that board. The new Kingston HyperX Fury memory is awesome in black and red. TTL did a review here: http://www.overclock3d.net/articles/memory/kingston_hyperx_fury_memory/1

I love the Dragon accents on all the Heat Sinks on the G65.

ahh thanks for the link, will check it out asap

i have a 3d monitor and tbh im looking at getting rid of it due to the fact is rather have 2k than 3d it was fun for the first week ... then ive used it a handful of times in 6 months. lol
but thats obvs my opinion id try going to pc stores with 3d displays to have a play on to see if its worth the investment for you.

And yeah i definitely would rate the msi boards :D i only went ROG cos i have a thing for ASUS.

thats what i was worried for about the the 3d screen :D i have been eyeballing the AOC2963PM its something about the 2560x1080 that compeles me and most of the games i play work at that resolution so could be nice

if you has the budget, that new ultra wide 21x9 lg monitor has struck my eye. nice resolution nice panel and well nice :D lol
