Considering most of us here, or in this hobby of computer overclocking in general have some of the fastest desktop computers in the world we can put this to work in games. Specifically BF2142 (or BF2 for that matter).
I've found that the easiest way to rack up mad career points in a round is to be the Commander of your team and just sit in your home base with your squad map open launchng Orbital Strikes, Emp Strikes, and dropping supplies for your team in critical combat areas.
The key to becoming the commander (as far as I can tell), is putting in your request before anyone else. I can say with certainty that I am able to load in to the game before anyone else when I'm playing and have yet to not be the team commander after applying.
As the team commander and properly utilizing your resources you should earn an average of about 100 career points per round compared to the 10-50 point range depending on how good of a soldier you are and how many enemies you can take out.
Kthx that's mah tip.
