A guide for 3D rendering a case?

So, I've been seeing lots of 3D rendered cases on the forum recently and I was wondering if there were any guides/tools for doing this with a minimal amount of knowledge of CAD programs.

I'm asking this because I was looking at my case (its pretty much a flat pack atm) and wondering how I could more easily visualise the final product to show you guys and so I have a kind of reference point. I'm trying to see what would be best for my system, a 360mm rad in the front or the top of my case.

Any answers or help is much appreciated :p.

Most people use google sketchup, some use 3DS MAX i personally prefer using Cinema 4D. I haven't seen blender being used but its free and has all the same features nearly as the paid ones. So if you are just starting out take a look at Sketchup and blender.

No known tutorials for just making a pc case, but just learn how to build using primitives such as Boxes and cubes with programs like 3DS max or sketchup.

As soon as you learn how to manipulate objects you kinda know how to do the rest.

I have used blender a bit but found the controls very awkward and unusual. Anyway I think I'll give sketchup a go cos I've seen some good mock ups of cars for things like BeamNG.Drive, thanks again.
