A few questions about my new build

Hello guys,
I'm new here and this is my first post, but i've been reading watching youtube clips alot lately since i've been thinking about my new build setup. It's been quite a few years since i've build my own pc so i'd rather have some opinions on it before i buy something stupid. :D
Here's the setup i came up with so far.
Case: NZXT H440 MIDI TOWER BLACK/RED
Motherboard: ASUS MAXIMUS VII HERO DDR3 SOCKET 1150 INTEL® Z97
CPU: INTEL CORE I5 4690K 22NM 4 CORES 4 THREADS 3.5 ~ 3.9GHZ
CPU Cooling: CORSAIR HYDRO SERIES™ H100I
GPU: ASUS STRIX-GTX970-DC2OC-4GD5
Memory: CORSAIR VENGEANCE PRO SERIES 16GB( 2x8GB ) RED 1600MHZ
SSD: SAMSUNG 120GB EVO SERIES
HDD: WD RED 2 TB HARD DRIVE
PSU: CORSAIR RM550 RM SERIES

I'm also going to add some modding (fans, sleeved cables, led's) but that's not really important here.

What are your opinions on this build?
My questions are:
Is the i5k enough or should i go for the i7k?
Is 550 watts going to be enough?
Is 1600Mhz memory enough?
And what would you do, go for the 970gtx or go for 760gtx in SLI setup?
Also, I'm really considering a full water cooling loop for this build. I've never done one before and that's what keeps me hesitating. Would it be really worth it? does it require lots of maintenance?

Thanks in advance guys!

Frederic

The build looks fine to me, however I would opt for a larger capacity SSD, since they are not too expensive.

Will the i5 be enough for what? If your primary use is gaming I would stick with the i5.

Is 550 watts going to be enough?

550 W should be enough, but it's always best to give yourself some headroom to account for future additions to your rig. 750 W would be what I would go for. I would suggest the same for you if you're able to stretch your budget a little bit.

Is 1600Mhz memory enough?

For gaming, higher memory frequencies are negligible in terms of FPS gain, so I would say it is enough. It all depends on your priorities.

And what would you do, go for the 970gtx or go for 760gtx in SLI setup?

I would go for a single card solution. Although Sli/Cfx have gotten better, not all games support more than one card and it is likely you will run into other issues (namely micro-stuttering).

Also, I'm really considering a full water cooling loop for this build. I've never done one before and that's what keeps me hesitating. Would it be really worth it? does it require lots of maintenance?

Not sure about this one as I have no experience with a fully custom water loop. It is something I want to try sometime in the near future.

I'm primarily going to use it for gaming. So i figured i'd rather spend my money on a better gpu than go for a heavy cpu..
As for the psu. I'm not really planning on upgrading the system in the future, i've never really done that, i just stick with the same system for a few years and build a complete new one.. :D i found some calculators on google and none say it's going to use more than 450watts..
And about the ssd. i'm only using about 90gb on programs on my system now. I like to keep my pc very clean, but yeah maybe i'll go for 240gb just to be sure.
Thanks for your opinions guys!
