99c error :( HELP!

I shut my PC down earlier today and went for a bike ride. I come back in my room to see my Mach II GT turning on and off repeatedly really quickly. I check the LCD readout and it's giving an error stating a sensor failure and 99deg C. :(

I can't believe my luck. I have been wanting to sell this unit for so long, even listed it in the classifieds section - I just never got any offers from anyone - most presumably because I lacked any photos. I knew something was going to go wrong with my PC soon in this heat.

I am praying that I will be able to resolve my problem the same way the bloke in this thread did: http://www.extremeprometeia.com/forum/showthread.php?p=50493&mode=linear#post50493

Something about a "faulty connection" :? Please can anyone clarify what I should be looking for? I am not even pressing the power on button on my pc when this happens - it's as soon as the Mach II Gt's power cable is inserted that I get this fault.

Are repair jobs expensive? As a now unemployed 18 year old with a few trips away with friends coming up, I am rather lacking in funds which makes this problem even worse.

Any help at all will be greatly appreciated, thanks guys.

Ok I would say make sure all your connections are connected securley ie all the connections on the mach control board you may have a fault on the board but try all the connections first disconnect the mach from yer pc and test it without it being connected and see what happens

Loose or damaged USB connection maybe?

I had a similar problem that turned out to be the USB connection from the mach to the USB header on the motherboard was not connected properly because the cable had come away from the USB connector. Trying removing the USB cable from your motherboard and giving it a try to elimonate that connection. Just like Fatty says you must make sure you don't have any loose connections and this looks like what happened in that thread you mentioned ... fingers crossed
