9800GT 512MB vs. HD3850 1024MB????

DirectX 10.1 is just about nothing. DirectX 9.0c can run most 10.1 games and the 10.1 features aren't that good at all.
The 1GB memory on the 3850 will:
A. not be required unless you have 2*30" dualscreen or something
B. Not be completely utilised because of the limited bandwidth
The 9800GT is able to fully utilize its memory, which is way more important than the quantity.

Thanks! I opened a new thread becuse I wanted all people to see my new dillema. Im still going with the 3850 becuse hey, it does seem like a little bit too much, but on the long run, I think that 3850 is better becuse I don`t have 300-400$ to upgrade every couple of months. Is AMD or Intel better for games? I always thought that AMD was for games, and Intel was for multitasking office work.

Intel is currently holding nearly all crowns, only the value for money in the low budget sector is still AMD. An E8400 will kick around most of the games you throw at it.
weeeeeel.... im actualy going with the 9800gt... it seems that on all benchmarks it kicks the 3850`s ass unbelivably...... thx a lot, I dont know how many times I have changed my mind considering gfx these last few days.:worship::wavey:
