HI.
This is going to be my dream build. But i need so expert advice.

MY list of parts are ....

Corsair 900d
Kingston hyper beast x 2400mhz 32gb
corsair Ax1200i psu
Samsung 512mb 840 pro ssd
3 x western digital 4tb drives.
pioneer xl blurau burner.
ihas burner
Lg 27"Ea83 1440p x 2560p
corsair k95 keyboard
r.a.t.9 wireless mouse
Intel i7 4770k cpu

Ive also got a set of corsair red gen 2 braided psu cables..but i have a dilema.....i was going to buy the maximus extreme z87...but TT Logan put a spanner in that idea.....as my theme wad black and red.....
I cannot go for the msi gd65 z87 as it does not a have a display port for my resolution ..
The gigabyte z87 ud4 is red and black..but its in the cheap range.
i really like the gigabyte z87 oc force ...and msi x power.but gigabytes orange and msi yellow will not match my red braided psu cables ive got....i would really app some help in this area.....

Next is my g.card....i wad thinking of a gtx titan or a gtx 780....i only want a single gpu...as it will be watetcooled.

Any ideas on the best looking/performing gpu block would be a help.

My res would be a clear tube res large. Any advice on tubeing size would be a help....i will be using compression fittings (black or chrome).
Pump will be a 655 vario.

So i would like some help in the below areas.

Motherboard
cpu and gpu block (best looking .performer).
Tubeing
Tube res
grafix card.....titan or 780 or sli 770 4gb versions
red coolant
2 rads ....1 in the roof and 1 in the bottom
Pump would be a 655 vario

would app any feedback before my build starts next week.
pics to follow

thankyou

for your resolution problem on the msi mobo, why not get a cheap gpu with the money you will save going for the msi board instead of the asus?

Also display port on the mobo will NOT use the 780 or the Titan. The on board connection is for the CPU onboard graphics.......

So it wont matter what mobo you use youll need to connect the screen to the dedicated GPU.

Resolution wont matter if you have to use the onboard gpu in an emergency

Hi
the man himself...your review of the maximus was honest ...even though it blew my rig design to bits....
im also sick of people giving glowing reviews to stuff .thats crap....ive had gear in the past and thought why has this been given a glowing review...when its crap....back hand billys if you ask me.

The corsair ax1200i i got cheap from a friend.the gpu is going to be top notch...as money is no object.....

Like Sparkle (EDIT: Also Tom, didn't see his post till after I posted) said you wont need a displayport on the motherboard if you are using a dedicated graphics cards. You only need on board if you are not using a Graphics card and are using the IGP on the CPU.

For your GPU I would go with the 780 instead of the Titan. The 780 is a few hundred quid cheaper and only a fraction slower, you can always overclock it as well.

For a GPU waterblock, go with a full cover one, doesn't really matter which one you go with as performance will be near enough the same with all of them. Go with the one you like the look of best.
The same applies for the CPU waterblock as well, they all perform roughly the same so it's about which one you like the look of best. The XSPC Raystorm is regarded as one of the best CPU waterblocks though.

For your compression fittings i'd go with 1/4" ones and 1/2" tubing

For the res that also comes down to looks, performance isn't affected by the res.

Sorry guys ...i feel like a first class numpty...of cause the lg led fits to the gpu display port..what was i thinking......must be the 65hour weeks im working.
This build is going to be the best i can do.money is no object on anything....its a one off build....ive been using a laptop for a year.because i built my son a white corsair 600t gaming rig ...he nicked my new seasonic 1000w platinum psu.......so my build wad put off for a year......

Its like reaching middle age ....fast car or a blonde....i just want a kickass rig .
ive got 80% of the parts.
so advice would be app on only the best please.

Spending loads of money wont make it the best rig. It will just make you poor and stupid.

Tom.
i would rather have a great looking/performing rig .than a CCL computers £300 special ....i would like advice on the parts to get .not why r u spending all this money feedback...i work hard like the rest of us.And its what i want in the end.....

We spend days writing reviews matey, just hit the front page all your hardware questions have been answered already.

What about a Scan DREAM PC?

Gaming Rig, Fast Car or a Blonde...decisions decisions. If you want a Titan, get one. I want one and everyone tells me not to, even though I said money is no object for a single GPU. If your building a dream rig, and you can afford a Titan, get one my friend. :)

also on the 900d. its still has plenty of things about it that could have been done better. so make sure its the case that suits all your needs before dropping the cash. there are a good few things that i would have made different if i was involved in the design process as there are some areas where its tight and some areas wher its loose. some panels warp. if moneys no object try one of the caselabs brutes you can get them almost exactly the way you want

Thanx for the info guys..i hear you ShawnB-91...it would be nice for people just to help out with what you ask rather than being told not to get that because its to much.....sour grapes me thinks..
If a customer comes into the place i work at and asks for help in a design for a church leaded window...you dont tel him just to put clear glass back in because its cheaper....you help them with what they are asking for........
same as a no expenses spared rig....help in making it that....not negative bitchy remarks.....

I'm with you on this. :)

i was just giving advice. to make sure you know what you are buying. they were right about the 780/titan by the way. hundreds cheaper for similar performance. it can still be a dream build without overspending needlessly. my 670s for example aint too far off 680s with an oc an watercooling. sli saved myself a few hundred pounds but dont have much of a performance hit. use the money saved on a better screen or an ice cream.

I think of a dream build like, out of my price range, crazy hardware that I probably wouldn't even use, but it's the same as I can't afford a bugati, it's a dream car. He should get a Titan because it's out of the norm, not many people have one of them, and it won't be long anyway before it gets tested and he'll be glad he bought one.

Thanx ShaunB-91 and others with posative feedback,it is a dream build..Im only missing the m/board ....g card....and water cooling bits and bats. The caselabs gear is very good, but it costs an arm and a leg to ship from the states....
Im really pissed off as i just bought the corsair red power supply cables to go with the new maximus extreme board that TTL ripped apart on his review,im stuck now for a board that will run with the red cables,im up shit creek without a paddle now.
Thanx for all the above comments, its a dream rig that i will never have chance again to do,so it has a blank ££££ price.
Apart from closed loops like my sons white corsair 600t custom asus 670 direct cu 11 build in white.
this will be my first fully custom water loop.you have do it right first time, theres no point in saying a month down the line ,i wish i had done this or that.Anybody with watercooling the 900D exp would be app.
thanx for all the input guys pos or neg....

As with everything in life, you don’t need to be a musician to appreciate good music or know what it cost to produce, most people build what they can afford, you’ll always get people with differing opinions, some will help, some wont
At the end of the day you have to be happy with what you get as an end result
Hope this makes sense, good luck with the dream build
