890FX 56C NB Idle good/bad?

Hi,

as in the title if 56c bad for a 890FX on a Asus Formula 4 when idle bad have i got the NB heat sink prob that other people have?

WELL FIRST OFF WHAT ARE YOU USING TO CHECK THAT TEMP?? oops caps sry secondly is ur board new or a second hand purchase?? if its a newer board you should have the fixed nb sink if its second hand well theres a 50/50 chance it has the older style. I understand the fix it moderatly easy to do. its simply a matter of filing the standoffs down a tad. Have you even removed it to see if its tp is applied correctly???

no i havnt removed it its only a week old brand new using asus prob it which i think is a good program also same as in BIOS.

I wouyld think if its only a week old it should be the fixed model have you googled safe nb temps for the chivf nb??

another post I saw said that the nb and sb standoffs may of been reversed simply swap them and whalla fixed but it said 56c isnt bad and is with-in range

Mine doesnt go above 52c under load (same mobo)
