81.85 and monitor not working together

hi guys,

i have yet another problem, i have a leadtek 6800gt and i was originally running the drivers that came with it 77.50! twice today i tried installing the new 81.85 forceware drivers from the nvidia website, and soon after my monitor fucked up, it showed up as an analog monitor instead of the brand and model, and keep turning on and off, am i facing a dead monitor or is it just driver issues?

Boot into safe mode and uninstall the nvidia drivers. Reboot and clean the drivers using Driver cleaner Pro

Then try installing the newest drivers afresh.

After doing this you should have a hardware notice and winblow$ should install the monitor drivers straight after
