7970 or r9 280x?

so as the title suggests i've been looking at said graphics cards ....
amd radeon 7970 from dabs at £270

or the

amd r9 280x from aria for £260

which card would everybody suggest?

looking at multiple websites there are differing comparison graphs..

or is there anything anybody else would suggest?

just received 2 r9 280x's this morning, I only got them because they cost £239, yes I know tom said you have to be bonkers to get them as they are only a re-branded 7970 but they were cheaper, but I have noticed that the price has risen to £245 now, but also the 7970-7990 have also gone up in price a bit as well
