7800gt temps

the story continues, has been some time now since i was in contat with the support department so they have had time to "forget me" so last night i dropped a mail to the sales department complaining about the loud fan and mentioned the age of the card.

also mentioned i have changed fan several times before with good results and that i have the tools knowledge and education to change the heatsink and this time i got an answer saying it is ok to change the cooler without voiding the warranty.

quite the opposite to what they said the last time, is it something i have learned is to ask a second time if the first answer isnt good.

not the first time this happens to me :D

so tonight i will check some reviews and read up on the coolers i can easily get.

not the vf700 and probably not the vf900

might get the arctic cooler, will look at the x1 too but from what i heard it is less good than the nv5.

My choices would be thermalright v1 ultra, zalman vf900 and arctic cooling accelero X1, and not necessarily in that order. Links provided below:

Accelero X1

Thermalright v1 Ultra

Zalman USA is a no brainer rofl. The swear jar is altering my link to **** because it thinks I'm talking about a chocolate freckle.

The X1 blows air onto the mobo, not out the back of the case...

get less than 2 celsius difference in both cpu and gpu with the normal cooling and with the side of and a table fan blowing in so its not a big problem but will think off it.

thermalright v-1 it will not be, costs 45-50£ or over 3 times what the nv5 costs.

im a bit cautious to the zalman vf900, it does not cool the memories and dont want to glue on memory heatsinks so looks like it will be the nv5.

but will check around alittle if i can stay awake today.
