Try stressing it for a while, might help. other than that im not sure really. I've heard overclocking it can make the pitch higher so you might not be able to hear it but i've never done that myself.

If it's really that loud then I would ask about it. Is it all the time or just when doing certain things. My 7870 hawk whines when loading up gta 4 yet when i'm in game it's fine.

my msi 560ti doesnt whine at all....ever...this one as soon as the gpu is doing anything it buzzes like my dads old TV lol

Well... coil noise can be reduced by dampening the pcb. Maby tightening or loseing the screws of the cooler slightly makes some difference... also screw the card in instead of using any brackets that came with the case and make sure that the card is well tightened to the case...
Apart from that, playing around with the voltages and clockfrequencies may help to, but usually without result.
If nothing helps... RMA i guess...

Good luck!

Cheers

Rma?

Did you manage to get it RMA'ed. Did they give you a new one or did they test it and say nothing is wrong with it?

i sent it back for a refund, and purchased a new card. Newegg told me it would be 3 - 4 weeks if not longer for an RMA.

I see that sucks about the RMA...did u purchase the same card though? I assume u didn't get the same problem after re-purchasing?

i picked up a Gigabyte 760 OC the second time....quieter, much quieter, and cooler running card :) no coil whine, very happy with it!

Alright thanks for the quick replies man! I'll write and ask about the RMA situation on mine, but thanks for the info!
