Hi,
I got myself a OEM 6870 off eBay and thought it would be a walk in the park to mod it to the XFX black edition BIOS 940/1150.
Previously I only had to use atiflash .chg/.exe files and kept getting adapter not found error.
I then seen a guy who got it sorted with an extra ".bat" file and hey presto clocks up no problemo.
I had to reset by clicking default settings on CCC after reboot to show new defaults.
I had also tried Powerecolors BIOS but fan was noisy and it ran hotter so I presume it had a different cooler.
XFX runs A1.
I actually thought because it was an OEM it was locked out. I did use the "atiflash -unlockrom 0" switch first then "atiflash -f -p 0 name.bin".
So if anyone needs the files I have them here including standard .bin titled "Barts.bin" and the faster one is "xfx.bin".
