Hi.

I recently recieved a Sapphire 5770 Vapor X video card from a friend.

But he couldnt find the power cable.

Now ive seen some difernces between 6 pin pci power cables.

I have a spare from another video card, but it has only 5 pin conected. Ive seen on one of the review that the original cable from the box is diferent, has all 6 pin conected.

I looked on the internet for some documentation about PCI Ex but i couldnt find anithing solid.

There are 2 pics attached. One of them have refence cable from the original box and the other one is what i have.

Whats the diference ?

Can I use the one that i have ?

the 2xMolex to 6pin PCIE is what you need

5 pins ? even in my world that doesn't make sense

Yest it has 6 Pins... but only 5 are used, where the original cable have all 6 pins conected.

for example:

my lights run on a molex with only 2 of the pins in the connector - but i do not ask for a 2pin molex connector... (they dont exist)... i get a normal one

lol
