570 Bottleneck

Your graphics card is performing fine. Your CPU is only really holding back things where the CPU is heavily involved.

Compare the FPS.

Do you think it will be any better if i overclock my cpu, or do i have to buy a new cpu and mb?

I actually get less fps on mafia 2 than i got on my gtx260...

Overclock that E8500. That's what they were built for. You can't expect miracles though, as 3DMark11 favors cores, but you should see improvements in games quite a bit.

Thanks, you kinda relieved me, cus i just bought the card and i dont have that much money to buy a new cpu and all that.

Will post a new 3dmark11 score when i get my cooler and some oc..

I wouldn't expect your 3DMark11 score to change too much. Gaming though you should see an improvement. Stock vs 4.0GHz on an E8500 is a huge difference. They were made to be clocked.

What resolution do you game at?

I play on 1920x1080, when i play black ops SP with everything on max i get around 80-91 fps while walking on the maps, but when i get to the shooting parts fps will drop down to around 30-40 with some lagg spikes and fps drops..

With all the features turned on, Mafia II has gone crazy with fps dips for me before too (it just won't utilize all of my card), and I have a 580 and a great CPU. I've heard Black Ops has had its own issues too... The card itself should be pretty fine and after that it's just up to devs and drivers.

Overclocking your CPU should still yield great benefit in games though, making it worth it for sure (and it's pretty much free

).

I dont think there is anything wrong with my card, but i think its strange that my cpu bottlenecks so much that i have more lagg in all the games i play

The prosessors runs at 100% in minecraft with no other programs running for gods sake:(

This is the 2nd in one day. You could have a whole load of issues with your install, but your cpu isn't going to "bottleneck" anything. At stock or otherwise. Especially an E8xxx.

Your cpu running at 100%, on both cores, during any game, for any great period of time, will indicate you have a build/install problem. Most of those I personally find to be windows/driver/software based.

The only thing you should legitimately find that'll run your cpu, both cores, @ 100% for any noticeable period will be a benchmark or professional/utilities.

Games, no.
