Corsair Link 4.0
Review System Spec.
Introduction:
Welcome to my review of Corsair Link 4.0, now I'm no stranger to the Link software provided by Corsair. I used Link from v2.0 to v3.0 with my old H100i and must say I did quite like it, while I'm aware that many had a few niggles and general problems with the older iterations like hardware not being recognised or the hue settings for the H100i coolers not working as it should. I'm rather surprised, I had none of those issues back then and it ran flawlessly, so onto what I expect to be a vast improvement on the previous versions.
So lets take a first look at the new interface of Link v4.0.
As you can see it's a huge change! Gone is the dull (sorry Corsair) Grey of old and we have moved onto true glorious HD colour and it's customisable too, but more about that later. The Home interface is bold, clean and bright which grabs your attention right of the bat with all hardware areas laid out into their own respective fields giving you an instant quick look at temperatures and fan speeds.
Customisation:
Moving onto the custom settings and configurations, first thing I noticed in the configuration option was the original tiles system just like the previous versions where you would drag the monitoring data tiles and place them on to an image of your chosen case, thus giving you a visual guide to the hardware being monitored within your own system.
further to the customisation you can now alter the whole UI with settings including the font colour, background accent colour, colour themes, tile sizes and case images, either pre loaded Corsair case designs or simply use an image of your own.
Monitoring and Logging:
Now here's the whole point of this program to accurately monitor your hardware performance, it's all still here, fan speeds, temperatures, voltages and wattage loads, with the added option to record and export all your session data as an Excel document for your perusal later (I love this) kudos to Corsair for implementing this much needed feature.
Here I have recorded Corsair Link 4.0 monitoring the AX860i during a Unigine Valley Run, in both SLI and non SLI.

Conclusion:
My final thoughts on the latest Corsair Link software is pretty much all good only one minor point but I'll get to that, I have only had the chance to run and test the software with PSU monitoring sadly so I can't speak for any AIO, Commander or LED users, what I will say is this, if you have any Corsair iSeries hardware then Link 4.0 is a no brainer! you simply must have it installed. The control and customisation options are monumental, the data logging is epic and for me at least just what I've been waiting for. Just one thing spoils it for me, with the logging information there are no power levels recorded for me to view. Which means if I want to know what the voltage or wattage is at a given time it has to be in real time, if this was recorded within the logging data I would be over the moon and throwing huge White Gold awards all over the place (I kid of cause I'm not allowed).
So to bring this to a close, Corsair Link 4.0... it is as solid as a system monitor can be in my experience, it just requires a tiny polish for it to be 100%
