£600

wow, just wow.. that is taking the proverbial. That's 590 money, and they want £600 for a single core GPU, WTF?

Unless you actually have a triple screen setup with a ridiculous res there is no need for the 4GB anyway and you may as well grab a 3GB 7970 for £400 and save £200.

This is what I've been waiting for. I originally wanted to do triple 680s so I can get 3D surround at 5760x1080 with good fps but the 2GB limitation on the cards was a deal breaker. This is the perfect card to get, but at that price is prohibitive and a triple SLI setup is out of my reach

Thing is though you can get 3gb 580s/7950s for £350 and 3gb 7970s for £400, I doubt the extra 1gb from the 680s is even worth it and 3gb would be enough. Honestly I don't see the extra £200-£250 worth it at all.

After doing some of the test's I have done yesterday, I really don't see the need for a 4gb card because even my 2gb card can cope at the resolution I game at.

The price of these 4gb card's is a joke I mean £100 more roughly for a extra 2gb of ram is pathetic.

I was thinking of waiting a little longer to get these versions instead of the 2gb, but I also realised it would mean waiting further for another water block and also I think the other 2gb is on the back, so would need a really good backplate or a double sided water block.

It's just not worth it I don't think.

Its gk110 for us then jb

People are used to paying £300, £400 even £500 for a gpu for gaming. But take the cost of these in isolation and it's just ludicrous.

Honestly, I feel manufacturers who make components for gaming are soon going to price themselves out of the market.

Two of these in SLI could get you a half decent gaming p.c in it's entirety.

Possibly but, they are $499+ USD here and sold out everywhere. As long as people buy them (and they will) they aren't going out of business. If you can afford one and want it, then you get it, if your like me, ya wait.

Yea that is WAY to expensive, it would be more beneficial to get 2 2gb 680s. Granted you wont have 4gb of total system memory it would only be 350 - 400 more than this for SLi, and near double the performance.
