4690K overclock and help with cache overclocking

Hello people,
So I have overclocked my 4690K within two hours of getting my hands on it.
I managed to hit 4.4 at 1.275 volts, temps on the hottest core where 84 degrees and no problems after 12 hours of OCCT.

Now I want to overclock my cache just for the fun of it but I haven't played around with the cache overclocking on a devils canyon chip so I was hoping someone could give me a bit of help.

Cooling wise I am running a Swiftech H240 and I have an ASUS Z97-Pro Gaming, don;t know if that's relevant.

Cheers guys.

I wouldn't be too worried about cache if my temps for 4.4 were that high. Id try to sort that out that first. That AIO cooler aint good enough. I assume that's the peak of the highest core and on full rpm. Get a skylake if you want to micromanage. You'll have a blast. My Bro got a 6600k and fiddling with more than multiplier is great. If not time consuming

Cache clocking will require volts being played with so your temps will deffo go up.

Youd actually have to start by getting the volts set up at their lowest manually first, if its on 'auto' then they are likely to be much higher than required.

Just a thought on this. I was playing with cache OC this weeks and through testing I found that it does not necessarily improve system performance. Through a couple of different benchmarks, AIDA, Cinibench, and the ROG Benchmark I found that when I got to a cache ratio of 36 the performance began to degrade. I got to a 1:1 at 4.2 Ghz and the results were very clear that the system did not like it even with increasing voltages. Remember it's all about the sweet spot where the system likes to run. :)

Sorry about not replying here, been away for a while.
Temps are that high the fans at 100% because I wasn't running they where around 50% throughout stability testing.
Voltage is as low as I can get it at 4.4

I want to get the most out of this i5 and have as much fun doing it so any suggestions on how I can squeeze some more performance out of it are welcome and appreciated.
Cheers

TBH you will be lucky to squeeze a little more out of it. Personally I would tweak the volts and benchmark I have my 4690k@4.6Ghz 1.277v and it runs well all day every day ;)
