3gb 580 in us?

cann anyone one tell me were to pick up one these 3gb 580gtxs in the us? i know newegg at point had the palit 3gb but they vanished? any help would be great. resolution is 2560 x 1600 now and growing soooo i need these lol

Tried all the usual suspects, best I could find was on Amazon.com that was out of stock. NewEgg Canada is out of them too.

They can make 6/12/16/etc... there is a theoretical limit.

Only limit 'really' is pcb space. It's not been unknown to use the rear of the cards to mount extra memory chips.

Something like a Mars is wholely possible, costing thousands tho. Considering minute sales, I doubt it tho, unless there are pre-ordered requests from companies.

EDIT: Meant to add, Gainward should be the other company making 3g 580s if you're still searching. But they really are limited additions. Nice in SLI.

Wow .... I wonder what type of heat problems could arise with all that extra ram? Also, to have two GPU's and 6 GB of ram to cool. I can visualize a two slot card in the future if they want to be able to cool that beast .....

Sorry to bump an old thread, but for the sake of creating a new one, I was given the heads up earlier this week that someone like POV are sending some 3g 580 cards for testing with a standard shroud. Possibly an oc custom one later.

POV sell in the US ? Keep an eye out in the coming weeks.
