3DMark 2006 Scores: Show It Off!

For xmas im hoping to get water cooling. Was kinda hoping there would be some info available on whether 7950gx2 quad sli is going to work on vista 64, since apparantly a 4way AFR was going to be invetned on Vista to make the quads work loads better, I think ill get water cooling for my current rig instead though, its pretty loud. Ill replace my current fans with low RPM quite fans.

It'll be good beacuse it means some serious overclocking!

Well mate, your cpu is probably holding you back - I think I got a couple of thousand points from overclocking (cpu - also gfx/ram oc'd)...

I take it you have the latest drivers?

Hi .. i've just upgraded my mobo and cpu following your advise here .. problem is i think my 3dmark score is still a bit low compared to my hardware it's now (10013) .. please advise if this is a low score ,i'm running windows vista ultimate 32bit with this specs at stock clock..

intel Q6600 (2.4 quad-core)

XFX GeForce 8800GTX (forceware 163.69)

XFX 680i SLI LT mobo

2GB of bus 667 ram

hec 650w psu

lots of hard discs but all of them is WD 7200 rpm

ASUS P5K-E Wifi

2gb Patriot

500GB Seagate

XFX 8800GTS 640mb Extreme Edition

OCZ 700watt PSU

he just ran it all at stock, except GPU and got 10105

sm2 is 4035

sm3 is 4136

cpu is 3812

he just did it again with his quad at 3ghz, on stock volts! (gotta love that SLACR)

10546

cpu 4725

sm2 4077

i think his scores at 3ghz should have gone a little higher

Q6600 and custom water cooling on the way!

I think your CPU lets your score down a bit there mate, might be worth getting a quad core, new ones come out soon.

For all that GPU power quad core must be tempting :D

ya the cpu bottleneck is killing me, but I have a Q6600 G0 and all my liquid cooling parts on the way

Hope I can get quad to about 3.6..

will be v. interesting to see how 8800GT performs in 3dmark06, it might be used to get the new high record in SLI ya never know.

I hit 12k score with 3d mark 2006 I cant remember the exact number thought. I have a Q6600 and a geforce 8800 OC to 3ghz GTS overclocked even more by me

Well I'm ordering the Zotac 8800gt AMP! edition which is 700/2000/1700 for core/mem/shader and from what Ive seen with a 3ghz quad it gets close to 13k in 3dmark06, so will be cool to see what I get with it.
