3DMark 2006 Scores: Show It Off!

Well mate, your cpu is probably holding you back - I think I got a couple of thousand points from overclocking (cpu - also gfx/ram oc'd)...

I take it you have the latest drivers?

Perhaps starting a thread in the nvidia section would be best mate :)

Clock your ram, tighten the timings, set your cards to performance, set windows to performance, turn everything off that doesn't need to be on... Looks like you need 3.9/4.0 to hit 20K!

I got a score of 92** with my Q6600 GO @ 2.6ghz and 7950GX2.

I thought that wasnt bad considering its Vista64 im using. I just wished SLI worked in games aswell as it did in that benchmark lol.

In a few days im getting 3HD's raid0, 7case fans to max the Stacker830 and PC2-6400 memory though. The memory is important because it means I can overclock the Quad Core, atm using pc2-4200 lol...

Fans should keep the CPU and Graphics card a bit cooler though. I'll overclock the CPU as far as I can at 1.3vcore, then lower that as much as I can. GPU I'll put it to 550/750 since I know that works, should get me a few thousand more points in 3dmark :D

SLI'd Ultra's though, nice! Wish I had that money to spend, I really do!

Decent score for your hardware mate.

You won't get very far on stock volts (1.35v btw) maybe 3.0ghz. You could go up to 1.5v safely on air mate. Lets see what you can do ;)

Hopefully want it to be able to get over 12k. Thats quite a bit but with an addition of 10%+ overclcok to the GPU and almost 50% to the CPU it might be enough!

Mr. Smith , just to say that for mine 1.35v isnt stock 1.28 is, I got he GO stepping.

As soon as I get my new cooler on tuesday, ultimo90, I plan on going to 3200ghz to get my memory to the full 800mhz.

Being SLI memory it should be asy for me to get it to low timings and high freq :D
