yeah

its just the way technology runs these days. You never really get to see the full potential of anything before they bring out another version of it to make more money. Id say that PCI-e wasnt really needed untill now (DX10). Then again I could be very wrong.

They tested out the x1950 pro agp and the x1950 pci-e and well there was very little difference between the two. Plus both cards are exactly the same in speed, its just the interface thats different.

what temps were u getting??

I normally get 45 at idle and it goes upto 70 when iv been playing rainbow six vegas for 2 hrs with everything set on max. During this time my fan runs at around 40-45% of its total speed. So I cant even hear it. Im pretty impressed with this card so far.

edit: Oh by the way I have the sapphire x1950 pro 512mb version with its single slot cooler (which i thought would be crap, but is surprisingly efficient)

I don't know, Frag, something doesn't seem right. The GTX is El Jefe in the GPU arena, and I got 18,100 (and change) with a GTS. My E6600 is only at 3.6GHz, and my GTS is pumped to 600/999... yet I'm only about 1,800 points behind. You have your cpu jacked to 4G's, is your GTX still at stock speed? I would have thought you would get around 21,000-22,000.
