3D vision! any1 tried it??

as title say wonderin if any1 has tried the goggles with a 120 hz monitor??

im gonna need a new monitor soon and just thought what the heck i might try 1 out!

its just a gimmick had a look at one in pc world last year and for the price and every thing i wasn't that impressed.

there was one on show at ccl with a big sammy monitor + gtx 295 running UT3, and when the 3d was turned on the fps drop was jaw dropping, its a silly gimmick which you should never buy into.

That's what I though. Although tbh I'd w8 until further into 2010 to see whether or not the bluray 3d standard takes off as kit will become more consumerable.

Key thing that interested me, aside from the things that are designed to be 3d, is the way this, and the products samsung etc were pushing at the shows, make existing stuff 3d.

The drop in ur framerates 'should' theoretically be half, but I think it's a little under as it doesn't need to produce the screens fully 2ce, just massage them.

Just to let you guys know, no game so far other than Avatar and Resident Evil 5 have pulled off 3D yet on the PC properly.

they had that camera on the gadget show 3 shows back, im less then impressed
