32" FHD TV Resolution?

Hiya

I have a JVC Smart TV 32" with native-res of 1360x768. It plays great quality video via VGA and HDMI, just not Coaxial (going to be upgrading to HDMI right to decoder so quality gets better) but the PC (vga) native-res is 1360 x768. What would the proper resolution for a 32" TV be?

Hooking up a PC to an older TV might not always scale right though. For instance not the entire image will fit on the screen. This can be fixed with settings on dedicated graphics cards from either team (AMD or Nvidia) but afaik not with Intel HD graphics.

If you're talking about overscan, that should either be an option on the tv, or in gpu settings, didn't realise intel didn't allow for that?

Yeah, I did mean overscan. Had this issue on my dad's PC which is connected to a Panasonic plasma TV. There was an option in the Intel settings but you had to manually set the resolution, and whenever you found one that fit the screen perfectly it'd just set itself back to 1080p...

Popped the old 8600 GT back in and with Nvidia drivers it was a 2 minute job (Nvidia control panel). My dad now owns an ROG card

Lets not forget boys it might not be a HD tv the resolution could be 1360 x768

32" means nothing you need to find out what the native res of YOUR tv is by looking it up online.

Ive its got VGA I doubt its full HD 1080p
