Hey guys i have little problem i have got hold of a pair of evga gtx 660ti to go with my msi gtx 660ti and i have a msi x79a gd45 8d motherboard and it has twin slot then single slot spacing and i have 2 rigid single slot SLI bridges and 1 rigid twin slot SLI bridge and a flexible SLI bridge. could some one say how to set up 3 way SLI or a diagram id be very grateful

top to middle; middle to bottom and top to bottom (needs to be flexible as it has to twist across).

There is only one possible way with the bridges you have and that should work, if you can still see a goldfinger or one card is connected to itself you have done it wrong lol.

thanks for the reply i have one more question i have a corsair hx750 and it only has 4 pcie power and what would be the best way to wire the thrid card, should i use molex to 6 pins or 8pin pcie to dual 6pin splitter

I mean the ideal nice way of doing it would be with a bigger PSU, but I guess they aren't mahoosive cards so you should be ok power wise. Any way you wire it ultimately isn't going to make much difference as it's a single rail PSU, i'm no PSU pro and this is all a bit ghetto IMO.

The neatest way would probably be with 3 8-pin to dual 6-pin splitters and then just 3 cables from the PSU, which is basically the same as having pig-tail connectors which is fine for 300watt cards so I can't see a problem. Obviously if you only have to splitters use two PCIe cables on the third card.

Alternatively you could put one proper PCIe cable to each graphics card and then put the 4th PCIe on the master graphics card and molex adapter the remaining two 6-pins but that would be fugly cable wise.

i have worked out im good with power so the neatest way is use 3 of my 8 pin pcies and split them in to 2 6 pins each, thanks for the help

Yeah you've got to be within 100watts of what your PSU will take, it would be nice to have slightly more head room but it should be ok. I hope it works out and the GPU scaling gods are good to you! Not many get to Tri-SLI.

If your intending to run this for gaming I would be careful as in some cases it will perform worse than dual-SLI and at best will only be adding a modest amount of fps, it might not be worth the heat, the noise and the power consumption so I would try it out with two. Good fun for a benchmark though.

yes i am using it for gaming and i have a xigmatek elysium with 4 high rpm 120mm fans in the front and 2 on the bottom and a big 220 or 250mm on the side panel blowing right on the gpus and i run my fans at high rpm because i use a headset so i dont mind how loud my fans are, and i have worked it out that if i underclock my i7 3820 from 4.5ghz to 4.2ghz i get about 100 watts headroom witch should be fine. and i picked the 2 other tis up for £300. i hope so to.

Edit: im having trouble finding 8pin to dual 6 pin would the 6pin to dual 6pin be ok?
