So I'm planning to buy a new gpu when I came over 2x used msi 580 gpus in sli from a random person where I live. He bought them for 2 month ago as new ones. After some googling I found out that these type of gpus where produced in dec. 2010(?) The question is, should I go for these two gpus or buy a new one? The price for both used msi GPUS is 15% cheaper compared to lets say This msi gpu.

Am I missing something important? can't really imagine that they are THAT cheaper? Oh btw, the if I would buy the old ones as new from the internet they cost same as other new gpus.

Thanks folks.

I'd say go for the single GPU. In most instances it is going to be the faster option, less problems with drivers and you can always add another 680 if you hit that performance cap in the future.

Well if you're not short on cash, go for a 680 or a 670, if you can't afford those, go the SLI 580's, it's simple. Usually the more you pay the more you get... in this case at least.
