NOOOO thank you. The worst products I have ever seen are apple rejected products, or apple wannabes. And by watching this video it kinda proves my point.

Come on seriously?

This company is using the same panel in their display that you'll find in the U2711 by Dell the iMac 27" and the Apple Cinema Display 27" - The panels are really good regardless of what you think of Apple.

These displays are a bargain and I would recommend anyone who hasn't seen one up close to head on over to your local computer store that has a 27" iMac and look at the sheer size and quality of its display. I own three 30" Dells each with a 2560x1600 panel and I think the 27" U2711 / iMac 27" / ACD 27" panel looks better than my own 30's do.

I think apple products are great, if you are getting the impression that I think they are bad. The biggest problem with anything that didn't make apples quality list, or any company for that matter is you never know what you are going to get. Just like he said in the video, they are missing features and the specs are scattered all over the place. Have you ever seen TV's that never made it passed Sony quality assurance, or LG, or Samsung? They are CRAP!! Companies just don't casually toss out products that don't pass, because that is money they lose. They get rid of the product because their is a physical fault of some kind, or abnormality. Occasionally you get a product with an abnormality that may not even have to do with the main feature of the product like dinged bezel, bad speakers, etc.

But companies like this pick up the "scraps" even if their is a giant line of dead pixels or bad dvi input will still sell them because they "sort of work."

Sorry just the way you said Apple Rejects or Apple Wannabes it sounded like you don't like anything that even mimics Apples industrial design or what-not. And no I've not seen these specific displays in person only online. The reviewer in the video above couldn't see anything wrong with their model though. It's hit and miss and for $350 I'd be willing to take a punt on it.

I am a big apple fan. I own an iphone, ipad, and an imac. The OS is beautiful and sometimes I just want to get away from Microsoft. But yea for $350 why not, if you get a good one, you just got a $1300 display for only $350, if not... You get a $350 display worth about $100 in parts.

You are talking about C - D rated displays. Achieva and Catleap pick the best panels that Apple rejects. Meaning A - B+ displays. There are little to no flaws with the screens. Be that a few dead pixels or tiny bit of light bleed in a corner at most. The guy in the video is exaggerating a lot. There are many models with different specs, but it's a bit hard to know which are which since they are Korean companies.

Hmm. I went crazy when I saw someone had purchased a bunch of cinema screen to go with the apples in some suites. £1000s difference between them and eiher a top Dell or Samsung.

To be fair, I'd not swap my Dell 2408 for an apple cinema.

I have one of the PCBank screens which uses the same LG panel. For £226 inc delivery it's pretty stunning although a big risk importing direct from Korea. The screen has no Dead pixels although the general build quality of the surround is pretty bad. I added a few screws here and there that were missed when made. The stand is actually ok and tilts and swivels with a small amount of wobble if you knock it.
