£250 budget

Having had an AMD system for awhile,I think its time for a change.I have a budget of 250 notes to play with. I looking for Intel CPU and motherboard to fit into my rig. I would like to overclock alittle depending on CPU.Any advice will be much appreciated.

That goes a couple of pounds above your target of £250 but it was the best I could find.

Another thing, no offecnce sleekit, but just stay away from the nvidia boards, unless you are 100% sure on using SLi

I am really consideing the BIOSTAR T-Power I45 as my next MB but I am concerned that I may not be able to use my XFX 8800 with the board. Not sure on CPU yet.

You can use your XFX 8800GT with it mate, you just won't be able to run two of them in SLI.

The E8400 is a great clocker. Paired with the Biostar you should reach 3.6Ghz with ease, and 4.0Ghz with some tweaking

P45 (of some description) + E8400. I'm sure of it.

If it was my money, which it isn't, and I had a reasonable budget, which I don't, and I wanted a dual-core not a quad, which I don't, then I'd be in like a shot.

Which is, sorta, a recommendation
