£2000 - prebuilt system

Hey guys, me once again with another question, this time for a mate of mine.

Basically he is looking for an awesome PC and has a budget of £2000. He has been looking at this setup and is looking at buying it.

Could you guys comment on it and explain to him if it's a good rig to buy and if there is anything else you would recommend for his budget?

Things he needs:

• Has to be pre-built
  
• <= £2000
  
• Reliable source (website trustworthy)
  
• Not bothered if it's OC'd like this one is
  
• Cooling - enough (water would prob be better)
  

He will be gaming, programming, photo editing, movie editing and basically rampin it up!

its a good system but way over priced probably due to the 3d vision, it just kills your fps by a hell of alot and gives you major head pain,

This is basicly the same thing except it has no monitor, i buy alot of my stuff from ccl and ive not had any problems with them.

Just make sure he selects a 64 bit OS, and for the £600 he could get a pretty nice monitor, keyboard, mouse and speakers

OR if he lives near you, you could build him one and he would get much better bang for buck.

check pcspecialists there systems are good and nice priced

i speced this one for £5 under budget

as you can see its epic kit for the money thats even with things like Raid 0,windows 7 proff 64bit and fasttrack build

that's a rockin system if he doesn't need a monitor and stuff. Geez, wish I had $2000 to burn on a computer... I'd give my fiance my current one and build one like that for myself

Thank you once again for looking , he is determined to get just 1 480 card, what is the better option? Which would perform better? 2 470's or 1 480?

2 470s will outperform a single 480 but you must remember the power draw and heat. That and the fact no game even stresses a 470 really atm let alone two. Id say just get a 480, then if needs be later get another.

i wasent sure on the power draw or the heat of the 470's thats why i suggested,but 1 480 will suffice plus you can go sli later

Yea but since he wants a pre-built system are we going to expect him to upgrade the PSU when he gets another 480? He better get a big PSU at the get go if he plans on adding another card in the future.

£97 over budget, but I'd say it's worth it
