200 Euro Headset

Hello everyone,

So as you may have noticed from the title, I'm looking for a headset. It'll be used mainly for gaming and listening to music a bit. I've not got a sound card or anything, just on-board audio. The budget is 200 Euros, but something closer to 150 would be welcome. Thanks in advance

please don't buy a headset for 200 euro. get proper headphones and a mic

Alright I guess headphones would be a better idea. So DT 770 pros. Anyone agree with that?

Also, on the DT 770 Pros, I see versions on amazon rated at 80 OHMs, 250 OHMs, etc. I dont really know a whole lot about this, so what do I buy? Sorry, Im a bit of an audio n00b

don't know that much about audio myself but i think the 80 ohm version would be best seeing as you use onboard audio. can always get a soundcard or external dac/amp later

You should really get a mini amp/DAC. They aren't that expensive, the FiiO E10 (a forum favorite) is only 65 euros and it improves the audio quality vastly. Then you can also get the 250 ohm version of the DT770/990.

Get the DT770 & Zalman ZM-MIC1 & an X-Fi Titanium or similar and you will be under 200€

The Zalman Mic has a similar quality as the Logitech G35 mic and costs around 6 Euros on Amazon. If you want better quality and more "headset like" feeling get the modmic but including the soundcard you will be above the 200€
