2 Windows XP Operating Systems

I recently reinstalled Windows XP on my 250GB hard drive and did not put anything on my 2 raptors (they are connected within my Rig)

Is it possible to install XP on them in RAID 0 then when i turn my rig on go into the BIOS and change the boot order to the raptors when i want to do some benching or play games and then when i'm done go back in the BIOS change the boot order and run my 250GB hard drive for all normal use?

Should be possible yea. I've always just used Dual boot XP and XP-64 on the same HDD.

Bear this in mind:

If u install XP onto the raid after booting with ur big drive still in, windows will probably just update the mbr on ur big disk then edit c:\boot.ini to show the 2 installations

To get what your after it would be safest to remove / disable ur big drive b4 installing to the raid...

That's true I never thought of the mbr. I should have really after screwing my work one up trying to install Fedora and XP. Dammit LILO hates dual boot with me

I have disconnected my main hard drive and am putting widows on my 2 raptors but when i get to the F6 screen i press F6 and it does nothing any ideas?

erm, I go for the multiple press aproach rather than holding anything down, ignore the beeps

Its proably just a timing thing m8 even if u dont have a disk in it should take u to the right bit....

That does not work I've tried everything at the F6 screen fast taps, holding down F6 and a new keyboard?

is it actually displaying the press F6 message at the bottom?

Sry if this seems belligerent, I just remember being in a similar situation and the problem was that i was pressing it way to early and nothing was happening...

Im out suggestions though... sry dude

it is displaying the F6 screen but no matter what i do it will not load.

I have tried enabling RAID in the BIOS but still nothing.

Make sure your keyboard is plugged into the PS/2 port and NOT a USB port.
