Indeed they are! 2 of these puppies will be in my new comp shortly :D

I'm really kind of holding out for the Raptor X though, talk about big pimpin...

Now that's uber pimptastic!

I don't know what the price difference is in the US, but over here, the Raptor X is pointless, as it won't be out till mid february, the price difference between the 150 and the X is quite big, the window's pretty small and the internals are no different.

I don't see the point unless your a proper modder and really want your HDD on show (by proper I mean you make the HDD's into a custom case in such a way as they can bee seen externally) - like the millenium bug.

Mine are in a HDD module so I would never buy the X.

Jim - send me my HDD module pls :) ;)

Its $50 more in the US and think it would be sweet in any case u can see the hd's. (Ie. U2-UFO :))

That new Raptor X certified acrylic is pretty sweet with how they mounted the hd to show the raptors window.

I think its pretty damn awesome myself!

Looking at the specs, theres only 50% mtbf on the X than there is on the 150, presumably meaning the window causes the X to cook. You sure the extra $50 is a good idea? Imo only in a Raid 5, deffo not in Raid0 or single drive setup.

Didn't even see that... Seems wierd that the window would effect the temperatures. They must have had to redwork the internals a bit to allow for that window increasing the temps or something. Quite interesting.

Well the results are in... The 150gb Raptor straight up bitch slaps the 74gb Raptor in every single department other than access time... They're just a shade higer than the 74 but sustained transfer rates are significantly higher, so are gaming performance increases...
