It's about 20-30% faster but also cost like 75% more. If you aren't playing 4k ultra settings it's probably smarter to get a 1080ti. Really it's just how much you're willing to spend and in my opinion I don't think any GPU is worth $1200
Big price difference, if it was 1080ti vs 2080 we would have a discussion but as you have the money for the full blown 2080 Ti - Just get it

Going by all available reviews there is a 20-30% performance increase on average going from a 1080 Ti to a 2080 Ti which is a standard gen to gen performance increase yet the 2080 Ti costs 60%+ more than the 1080 Ti did at launch.
If you do go that route then you are condoning this massive price increase for what is a basic gen to gen performance increase.

If you can't see through this then listen to us. Nvidia are stuck with loads of Pascal stock and until it shifts at high prices Turing will be a stupid price. Seriously it will be much cheaper when it's served its purpose which is to sell Pascal by making Pascal look cheap.
It's totally their fault. They screwed us when mining went bang, then made too much too late and they are so brash, greedy and arrogant they can just carry on as they like.
