Chrome will start preventing websites from auto-playing audio ads in 2018

This functionality will be added in Chrome 64.

finally!

While I dont mind some ads, having those ridiculous ones play audio were annoying as hell.

100% agree. I don't mind ads as long as I get to choose whether the audio/video plays or not.

I only use Firefox but this is a great ( AND LONG OVERDUE!!!! ) feature.

I was an avid FF user but since I moved to linux over a year ago I am finding Chromium really much better especially love how even when I do boot to windows my browsing remembers everything from when on linux and vice versa

I binned Chrome a few weeks ago as many people have, Brave is now my browser. You can block all ads on it if you choose.
