Monitor overclocking

My dell u2515h is not skipping any frames or has any issues at 2560x1440 80Hz, thats +20hz over factory settings. I was wondering is there any harm to the panel if I use these settings all the time. thanks :)

I ran the Acer H236 IPS monitor at 75hz from the stock 60hz for almost 2 years and never had a problem. I used CRU to OC it. Only issue i had was the I would have to remake the profile after every driver update. But only takes 10 seconds so no big deal.

Wasn't there another thread on this quote some time ago? Bad memories of that one.

Personally been over clocking monitors for a long time until 1440hz 1440p became a reality. Have not had a single monitor die on me yet.

I dont see any options in radeon settings to get higher than 60hz

You have to create a Profile for it so windows/drivers can detect it before applying it. Otherwise it'll say the stock settings. Use CRU to create a profile. Then restart PC, then apply through windows.
